This visual research note began with a TikTok video illustrating a migration route from Fnideq in Morocco towards the Ceuta border. The video encouraged me to look beyond the news story and begin studying Morocco’s art, architecture, patterns, design traditions, craftsmanship and visual creativity. This page records the starting point of that wider artistic investigation and forms part of my ongoing sketchbook research.
