Silent Monumentalism — Block / Plane / Void (2026)

 Pieter Lategan - Silent Monumentalism — Block / Plane / Void (2026)

Notes

Block defines mass.
Plane defines surface.
Void defines absence.

The elements are placed, not composed.

Balance comes from relationship, not symmetry.

The structure is quiet.
No narrative.
No emotion.

Logic

Block = weight
Plane = division
Void = space
Ground = support

Everything sits on ground.

The plane separates the blocks.
The void opens the space.

Observation

The structure is reduced to essentials.

Two blocks.
One plane.
Two voids.

Ground holds everything.
